Community Involvement
Ellipse Solutions is committed to making a positive impact on the communities in which we live and work - not only through financial support, but also through employee involvement.
Throughout the year, our employees generously donate their time, talents, and resources to various community events, fundraisers, and social issues, such as Justice & Mercy International, Special Olympics and the Shor Foundation.
Based in Franklin, TN, Justice & Mercy International (JMI) is an organization focused on
changing the lives of orphans and acutely vulnerable children in Brazil, Haiti, India, Moldova,
and South Africa.
Ellipse Solutions was introduced to JMI through a business associate in 2012. With our office
in Chisinau, Moldova, it was a perfect opportunity for Ellipse Solutions and our Moldovan-
based team to get involved. In cooperation with JMI, a comprehensive plan was created for Ellipse Solutions to upgrade the internet connectivity at JMI’s transitional home and teach computer skills to the children in their transitional home.
Since that time, a team of volunteers from Ellipse Solutions has been meeting with the children two hours a week to teach them the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), as well as other widely-used software program. In the long term, the goal is to create an apprenticeship program at Ellipse Solutions for students who are interested in getting into software development.
The Battle of the Businesses is the number one fundraiser for the Special Olympics of Greater
Dayton. Employees of local companies team up to compete throughout the first week of June
each year in sporting events including volleyball, miniature golf, swimming, tug-of-war, bowling
and many more events.
Ellipse Solutions participated for the first time in 2012. Not only did the team raise over $1,000
for Special Olympics of Greater Dayton, but we also had a great time and earned Third Place
Honors in our division. In 2013, the Ellipse Solutions team increased our fund raising efforts to over $1,200, and finished Second in our division for the sporting events (see photos).

Another way Ellipse Solutions remains involved is by helping build awareness through education. One such program is through the Shor Foundation (www.shorfoundation.org).
The Shor Foundation, founded by Ellipse Solutions client, Charlie Shor, CEO of Duro Bag Manufacturing, is dedicated to the study and management of the effects of stress on Epilepsy. Ellipse Solutions provides pro bono marketing support for this worthwhile foundation.
