New Orleans may be famous for its music, food, and nightlife – but technology?
With Microsoft Envision kicking off next week, the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans will be transformed into a tech hub with some of the world’s brightest minds in attendance.
To help you with planning for the event, we decided to take a moment to create a Microsoft Envision Cheat Sheet. Take a look below to see what the show has to offer!
Sessions Envision will be featuring nearly 300 educational sessions! Microsoft has gathered educational topics from the most forward thinking minds to showcase the latest business trends and solutions in the Microsoft world.
Don’t miss Ellipse Solutions’ theater session, “You, me and IoT: Microsoft Dynamics AX, Azure IoT Suite, mobile apps, and PowerBI under the same roof”, on Monday April 4, 3:30 PM - 3:45 PM at Theater 5.
Networking The opportunities to network at Microsoft Envision are unparalleled. Business leaders and decision makers from around the world will be in attendance eager to share their experiences and learn about the latest technologies.
Make sure to drop by booth #863 and say “hello” to our friendly staff!
*Disclaimer – don’t blame us if Gregor is grumpy :)
New Solutions Where do we even begin? The Microsoft landscape as a whole is overflowing with new and exciting technologies. The new cloud-based Dynamics AX launched less than a month ago, utilizing the full power of Azure. Windows 10 is not even a year old, and the potential of Cortana and HoloLens is massive.
While the message is increasingly centered on “One Microsoft,” there are some pretty impressive things going on with individual technologies. The partners in attendance work hard year-round to come up with forward-thinking, disruptive, and innovative solutions to offer businesses.
Here at Ellipse Solutions, we have established ourselves as a leader when it comes to combining Microsoft Dynamics AX with the Internet of Things, Business Intelligence, and Mobile Application Design. We have recently been certified as a Tier 1 Cloud Service Provider and inducted into the Azure IoT Red Carpet Program.
And have you seen Azure Marketplace lately? We now have 6 solutions listed!
Key note speakers To get straight to the point, you don’t want to miss any of these speakers. Representing Microsoft, Satya Nadella and Peggy Johnson will give insight into the vision of the company and how your business is directly impacted.
In addition to the heavy hitters from Redmond are Dan Schulman, President and CEO of PayPal, Captain Scott Kelly, U.S. Astronaut and Retired U.S. Navy Captain, and Tim Shriver, Chairman of Special Olympics.
Train performance The Microsoft Envision reception and celebration will take place on Tuesday, April 5th from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. While we probably don’t need to sell you on attending something entitled “reception and celebration,” we’re going to anyway. Train is a GRAMMY winning band from San Francisco and, whether you particularly care for their music or not, we’d be surprised if you’ve never gotten their most popular song, “Drops of Jupiter”, stuck in your head.
